Liminal names the space between the paintings. It holds the leftover memories and materials hidden in the space between. Made from things that come from many places, moveable and not c many. Carrying fragments of history that never settle in one spot. Standing in the middle of the wall paintings on each side: the “Leftovers” become markers of what’s been carried, displaced or held onto. They signal what lingers in the middle of the work, and in the middle of a life.
